Emily Procknal is the senior community relations manager at The Boston Globe, the largest newspaper in New England providing news, analysis and information about community events, sports and entertainment to thousands of readers. She is the president of the Boston Globe Foundation, which for over three decades has supported a wide range of educational programs focused on literacy and learning, arts and culture, and community empowerment in the Greater Boston area. Emily is also an avid volunteer working with organizations like the Pine Street Inn, 826 Boston, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester.

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and journalism from Northeastern University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in non-profit management from the same institution. A proud native of Buffalo, New York, she’s an earnest fan of the Buffalo Bills and starts every fall believing this will be the year they’ll get that Super Bowl victory.
