Emanuella Evans works as the IWMF’s Communications Coordinator, where she supports social media accounts, digital media curation, and communications campaigns.

Emma is South Sudanese and came to America at the age of 3, which has made her passionate about liberation and working towards social equity in her career. She loves producing multimedia, engaging with audiences, and promoting inclusive and accessible journalism, which is why she joined the IWMF.

Emma grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. She has previously worked at community organizations and a non-profit newsroom in Chicago reporting on the criminal system and social issues. Outside of work, she enjoys videography, traveling, and brunch with friends.
