La batalla por el agua en Huizúcar

Una organización de mujeres lucha mediática y jurídicamente por la defensa del agua en sus comunidades ante la amenaza de una empresa que ha comenzado la instalación de paneles solares en zonas de recarga hídrica en el municipio de Huizúcar, La Libertad.

Un grupo de mujeres, organizadas en la Asociación de Mujeres Huizúcareñas, encabeza una serie de acciones para evitar que se construyan paneles solares que destruirían los mantos acuíferos con los que se abastecen distintas comunidades donde residen unas 1,500 personas.

La asociación intenta visibilizar a la mujer líder, capaz de defender las necesidades más básicas de su entorno, aunque en sus hogares mantienen los roles socialmente relacionados a ser mujer: madres, esposas, hijas.
