After a long day of bureaucracy Monday, it felt great to get out on the ground reporting yesterday. The IWMF was able to find me a Muslim driver and fixer (who participated in security training last week) to guide me around the Muslim community. He knew EVERYONE and got me interviews with all the top players in North Kivu. And getting tours of an Islamic school and a local mosque didn’t hurt either. Big thanks to Glendora from the International Reporting Project for tagging along!
