Attended the Courage in Journalism Awards Ceremony yesterday in New York. The parents of Kim Wall, the Swedish journalist who was brutally murdered, were here with us.

And, everyone got a card of my friend Sim Chiyin.

No matter what challenges or even dangers we face, we will persist.

Ps: the Award recipient from Yemen was denied her Visa request….. Thanks to President Trump… How ironic!

Also, I spent one afternoon in New York Times, get to attend their international desk meeting, very informative!

And just learned that when their correspondent in China was declined a visa request in 2012, the Obama administration helped out to fix the problem.

“But Trump wouldn’t care about press freedom”. “And he hates the Times.”

It seems that now the situation is much worse in both countries compared with that time..?
