Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in the Democratic Republic of
Congo.

“We have a lot of problems here in Congo. But when people watch or play
football, they forget about all their problems,” said Amani, a football
coach who trains over 150 people, both adults and children.

Amani has been unemployed for years, but he now teaches this sport to his
community as a volunteer.

“Also, when children come here and play football, they don’t go to the
bush. They learn to play instead of fighting.”
