IWMF trainers (clockwise, starting top left: Solange Lusiku, Chantal Pani, and Thierry Khonde) take a break between lessons to enjoy lunch in Goma, DRC, including liboké, a traditional Congolese dish of fish and vegetables cooked in banana leaves. They are participating in a five-day “training of trainers” workshop that will prepare them to launch year-long journalist capacity-building programs in their countries. Chantal and Thierry will work with journalists in Central African Republic. Solange and trainer Douce Namwezi, not pictured, will run the project in the Eastern DRC. This work is part of the IWMF’s African Great Lakes Reporting Initiative.
