Life continues in Juba…

For Good Friday, Silvano our very friendly fixer, took us to a local church. It was the most joyful moment of the trip in South Sudan. After spending hours in refugees camps where people are suffering from disease, malnutrition, death, this moment with the congregation was the highlight of our journey. People welcomed us in the church with « youyou » and invited us to dance with them. This local community is facing many challenges, there is a lack of food and water, facing unemployement and the consequences of the war, but they were playing music, dancing and singing. They welcomed us – Kawaja (foreigners) – in the warmest manner. Sorry I don’t have picture I was dancing!
