Malgorzata “Maggie” Padlewska is the runner-up for the 2014/15 IWMF Elizabeth Neuffer Fellow.
Maggie is an accredited video-journalist and the founder of the One Year One World initiative. Her independent project aims to bridge the global communications gap as she documents and shares the stories of under-reported communities from around the world.
Padlewska travels and produces her material singlehandedly to promote and foster and better and more accurate understanding of the issues affecting our global community. After more than a decade, she also continues to work as a freelance producer and reporter for Canada’s largest news networks.
She earned a Master of Journalism from Carleton University, a Political Science Hon. B.A. from Concordia University, and a Television Broadcasting Diploma from Algonquin College.
