Meet Ana Rosa Heredia Cuestas, 66, a survivor of the Bojayá massacre, in 2002. As one of the thousands of Colombians displaced during the armed conflict, Ana Rosa has endured great hardship. Nevertheless, Ana Rosa is determined to be a survivor, not a victim, and uses cooking as a means of resistance. She is one of the most inspirational women I’ve ever met and one of the main characters in the story I’m currently writing for Newsweek en Español.
