I feel it is my responsibility as a photojournalist to investigate underreported issues on the ground and hold foreign influences in Tanzania and the greater region accountable. Western media, in their coverage of Africa, need to embrace the challenge of digging deeper, refreshing our narratives of Africa and this, I believe, will make better stories.”
