My friend and colleague Meghan Dhaliwal loves dogs more than almost anyone I know. She loves them so much that photographer Alexia Webster, who’s also on this trip, has dubbed her “The Perro Whisperer.”

These photos (taken in six different locations throughout Tijuana, featuring six different dogs) show part of what it’s like to be in the field with Meghan. She works hard, asks smart questions, makes amazing photos…….and has an incredible soft spot for every scraggly, spoiled, or in-between pup she meets.
