Monica records and I listen as US Customs officers explain how they search commercial trucks coming into the country from Mexico at the Ysleta cargo facility in El Paso, Texas. Ciudad Juarez is a huge manufacturing hub, assembling products using pieces shipped in from the US, and then sending the finished goods back to the US and other markets. On the US side, radiation detectors, X-ray machines and other high-tech tools scan the trucks for contraband, like drugs, cash and counterfeit goods. -Karen Z
