The band was playing covers of old Magic System songs, the grill was firing and we had just asked some local fisherman if there were indeed hippos and crocodiles still lording over the Ubangui River. After days of reporting in Bangui, this is what a hard-earned Sunday lunch looks like… by that afternoon, we were back in the field!
