Today Erika Aguilar and I, with the help of almost all of the Tijuana IWMF fellowship team, created the final of the three Tijuana Street Studios outside of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Cathedral in Downtown. A small crowd gathered as we photographed and printed over 40 portraits for people from all backgrounds, from musicians to homeless migrants to policemen. And in return they shared with us music, laughter, tenderness and tales of their lives and their journeys to this frontier town.
