Very honoured to be attending this IWMF fellowship with Solange Lusiku
Very honoured to be attending this IWMF fellowship with Solange Lusiku, an incredible Congolese journalist who works for an independent newspaper in her native Bukavu and faces threats on her life because of her dedication to her work. During our HEFAT training, we have been put through various extremely tense situations such as kidnapping or physical assault; while these are just mock exercises for most of us, they are a reality in Solange’s life. It is a tremendously humbling and inspiring experience for me to get to collaborate with her in the next ten days. There is so much to learn from this indomitable lady!
